Question: Why Does God Allow Us To Go Through Many Trials and Tribulations Once We Become A True Christian?

Answer: Bottom line, It is because God wants to be a part of our daily lives and when everything is going great, and we are instead relying on our own works, and on our own finances, and on our own methods of survival, and on our own ways of making ends meet, we tend to leave God out of the equation, and sometimes we even forget about God completely, thinking perhaps that since everything is going so great, that maybe we are being blessed by God, and  so we must be doing something right, so we don't need God at this time. Albeit this is the wrong way to think many people do however think exactly like this, but mainly most people are just under the assumption that the only time they ever need to Talk with God, or Pray unto God, or bring God into their lives, is when they are in desperate need of help from God, this of course is also a total misunderstanding of how God wants to work and bless us and protect us in our lives.

This is why God calls our walk with Him as a purification or a refinement process. "Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver or gold; for I have chosen to purify thee in the furnace of affliction". Isaiah 48:10 Sometimes Jesus sees it as needful to refine His Children, to purify them so to speak, so as to prepare them for a future task, or for an upcoming event, or a revealing of sorts, which in the end, shall always strengthen their faith and their belief and lead them unto prayer and repentance unto the Lord Thy God Jesus Christ. It is in this way that Jesus shall sometimes put His Children into a furnace for refinement; however His eye shall always remain steadily intent on the work of purifying during this process, and His Wisdom and His Love are both engaged in the utmost manner unto them. For none of these trials or tribulations shall ever come at random, as God is always in control of everything at all times; yet this refining process is not complete until God sees His Will and His Own Image reflected in us, same as a silversmith or a goldsmith sees themselves reflected in refined silver or gold.

However, most of the time when we find ourselves in the furnace of affliction, it is because God needs us to call on His Holy Spirit so we can draw closer unto Him in our daily spiritual walk, and if we do not do this on our own, then God will allow trials and tribulations to get through, which in turn shall then force a True Believer upon their knees in belief and in repentance which then causes us to cry out unto God. Remember God doesn't punish us as many people believe. The devil and his demons are open for business 24/7 and they attack us and punish us non-stop, never taking a day off or a holiday. It is only by not Praying and by not Repenting without ceasing, like God tells us to do in His Word, written down for us to read in His Holy Bible, that we build up sin, and this sin blocks not only communication with God, but it also blocks our blessings and our protection from God, which then allows satans attacks to get through.

(However for non-believers this can sometimes be fatal and they can be physically killed by satan, and then they can spiritually die and their spiritual soul could end up in hell as well, if satan is allowed by God at that time to indeed take their unbelieving/unrepentant  soul. "For the devil cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: but I AM (God) and I have come that you might have life, and that you might have it more abundantly". John 10:10)

However, for True Believers who are filled with Gods Holy spirit, those who worship God in Spirit and in Truth, it is quite a different story, for whenever we start to feel attacked or oppressed by the cares of this world, or by the constant attacks of the ruler of this world, satan and his demons, if we are smart we will get down upon our knees in sincere humbleness and thankfulness, and we will repent of all of our past, present and future sins. For repentance unto the Lord Our God Jesus Christ, who never left us in the first place, but who was just waiting for us to REPENT so that He could continue to Bless us and to protect us is the only thing that we must do to maintain our daily walk with God and to reap all of His Blessings and Protections.

"But who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appeareth? for He is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: "And He shall sit as a refiner and as a purifier of silver and of gold: and He shall purify all those who belong to Him (such as the priests and sons of Levi), and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness." Malachi 3:2-3

"Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver or gold; for I have chosen to purify thee in the furnace of affliction". Isaiah 48:10

(All this being said, we should also read the book of Job to see and understand what kind of Faith was required of Job, even onto the loss of everything that he owned and cared for, including the death of is entire family, for we too, if called to do so by the Lord, must be willing to die and sacrifice all we are for the Truth of the Lord God Jesus Christ, without hesitation to Truly reap all of His Blessings and Protection.)
